Pastor Kerry W. Tillmon was born February 5, 1963, in Galveston, Texas to the late Warren Sr. and Louise Tillmon. He is the youngest of five children. After his mother’s passing, his father, aunts, uncles, other family members and the West Point family became a support system for this unique young man.

At the age of (18) eighteen, Kerry W. Tillmon, responded to God’s call and purpose for his life (Jeremiah 29:11), thereby accepting the awesome responsibility of proclaiming the gospel of Christ. A repertoire of sermons has been preached over these forty (40) years and many selected favorites have been embedded in the hearts and minds of God’s people.

Pastor Tillmon is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christianity and a minor in Government, Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary and has received a Doctor of Divinity from North Central Theological Seminary.

Pastor Tillmon has been married to his beautiful wife, Eva S. Tillmon for thirty-eight (38) years. They have three lovely daughters: Jackiee (Dru) Johnson, Kerisha Tillmon, and Keri Tillmon. They also have five grandchildren: Ariyon, Ariyel, Alexis, Andrew IV, and Toddrick II.

Pastor Tillmon serves as the shepherd of West Point Baptist Church for thirty-eight (38) years. He also served for thirty (30) years as the President of the Baptist Ministers Association of Galveston-Galveston County until his retirement in May 2023. He currently serves as Moderator of the National Baptist Eastern General Association of Texas, President of the National Baptist General Convention of Texas and member of the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
